Lifetime Exchange and Buyback

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Caratory Lifetime Exchange & Buyback

Caratory offers a lifetime exchange and buyback programme for eligible Caratory lab-grown-diamond jewellery originally purchased in India. The programme is subject to product verification, quality inspection and the terms below.

Valuation

The eligible value is calculated using:

  • 100% of the prevailing market value of the verified net gold or other eligible precious metal; plus
  • 80% of the prevailing market value of the verified quality and weight of the eligible lab-grown diamonds in the jewellery.

The prevailing market value and verified net weights, purity, diamond quality and condition are determined by Caratory at the time of assessment. Making charges, design or labour charges, GST and other taxes, duties, certificate charges, shipping charges and the value of discounts, coupons, vouchers or promotional benefits are not included. The value of missing stones, non-precious components, impurities, solder, damage, repairs or restoration required may also be deducted.

This programme does not guarantee a fixed percentage of the original invoice value. The 80% figure applies to the prevailing market value of the eligible lab-grown diamonds as assessed at the time of exchange or buyback.

Lifetime exchange

For an approved exchange, the final assessed value is issued as credit towards a new Caratory jewellery purchase. If the new product costs more than the approved exchange value, the customer must pay the difference. Exchange credit is not redeemable for cash, and any unused balance is not paid out unless Caratory agrees otherwise in writing.

Lifetime buyback

For an approved buyback, the final assessed value is paid by NEFT or RTGS to the bank account of the person named on the original invoice. Payment is initiated within 21 business days after the product has been received, authenticated, inspected and approved and all required documents have been verified.

What you need

  • The original Caratory product.
  • The original invoice or a verifiable copy.
  • The original product certificate and warranty card, where supplied.
  • A valid government-issued photo ID belonging to the person named on the invoice.
  • Bank details in the invoice holder's name for a buyback payment.

Inspection and eligibility

Caratory may test the metal, diamonds and setting and may refuse a product that cannot be authenticated, is counterfeit, is not a Caratory product, was purchased outside India, or does not meet the programme requirements. Wear, damage, alteration, resizing, missing stones, third-party repair or missing documents may reduce the value or make the product ineligible. Testing and inspection will be performed with reasonable care; Caratory is not responsible for unavoidable minor effects of standard testing where permitted by law.

How to make a request

  1. Email caratory.india@gmail.com, WhatsApp/call +91 76780 59555, or use the Contact Us page.
  2. Share the invoice and product details for an initial review.
  3. Wait for written packing, insured-shipping or appointment instructions. Do not send jewellery without authorisation.

Any applicable insured logistics, testing or handling charge will be disclosed before the product is accepted for final assessment.

General conditions

The programme is available only to the original purchaser unless Caratory accepts valid proof of transfer. It is not available for gift cards, complimentary items, non-jewellery products or products sold outside India. Caratory may update this programme prospectively, subject to applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits a consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
